Privacy notice

This notice explains which personal data this website processes and why. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Visiting the website

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, the page requested and your browser type. The server uses this data only to deliver the page. It does not keep access logs.

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising. Fonts and stylesheets come from this server, so opening a page contacts no other company.

Contact form and email

If you use the contact form, I process your name, your email address and your message. I use them only to answer you. To limit spam, the server keeps your IP address in memory for ten minutes after you send the form; it is not stored. The message is stored in the website's database and sent to my mailbox. If you write to me by email, the same applies.

I delete messages one year after I receive them. Backups of the database are kept for up to four weeks, so a deleted message disappears from them at the latest four weeks later.

Where the data is processed

The website, its database and my mailbox are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Your data is not transferred abroad and not shared with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Links to GitHub and LinkedIn lead to websites of other companies. Their own privacy notices apply there.

Your rights

You can ask which data I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Write to rahul@gurung.ch. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
